Updated: AudioControl announced a new series of car audio amplifiers that plug directly into its popular Epicenter digital bass restoration processor.
With the exception of the EPICFOUR, each of the six new EPIC models come with a bass knob and can be paired with the Epicenter for enhanced bass. The amplifiers also include an Epicenter Link cable to directly connect power, ground and remote turn on from the amplifier for a cleaner installation (again, with the exception of the EPICFOUR).
Herb Brown, President of Stinger, parent to AudioControl, said “No one has been able to recreate or accurately copy the Epicenter. We thought, why don’t we design a line of amplifiers where the amplifier connects directly to it. When you think about the diversity of music now, it’s all created with different tone levels, some that emphasize bass and some that don’t… One of the cool things about the Epicenter is it can accurately recreate bass where bass doesn’t really exist and it’s proprietary and unique.”
Brown continued, “Knowing that there are hundreds of thousands of these Epicenters sold each year, what a unique line of amplifiers that would plug right into it.”
The new EPIC series of amplifiers is currently on preorder. It leads with a 750 watt mono EPIC750 amplifier at $159 suggested retail price. Other mono models are offered at 1000 watts, 1500 watts, and then 2000 watts for EPIC2000 at $299.
Multi-channel amplifiers are the 5-channel EPICFIVE at $229 and 4-channel EPICFOUR at $169 suggested retail price.
