Stinger (formerly AAMP Global) has acquired the assets of Vision Tech America, Inc. (BOYO), known for its aftermarket camera and safety technologies.
The acquisition broadens Stinger’s range of safety solutions. It also marks what the company terms, “the expansion of Stinger’s influence in the aftermarket vehicle accessory landscape….”
Stinger continues to make acquisitions in the 12 volt market. In 2022 it acquired AudioControl and in 2021 it purchased M2M in Motion, a fleet intelligence software company with the aim of expanding its role in fleet electronics. It owns brands including PAC, Stinger, Echomaster, Connects2 and Phoenix Gold.
Stinger CEO Scott Forst said, “BOYO’s reputation for quality products complements our vision for the future of vehicle aftermarket solutions. With their exciting future product roadmap, this move accelerates our commitment to innovation, ensuring our customers receive differentiated, cutting-edge vehicle technology.”
Stinger is owned by the Halifax Group.
