VOXX will revamp the Directed/Viper remote start lineup in a full relaunch towards the end of the year, it said.
The company has redesigned its remote transmitters and said it plans product “innovations,” with details to come,
Additionally, the current line, called VOXX-DEI will be renamed DIRECTED by VOXX.
“We acquired the engineers from Directed when we purchased the company. They have been working on upgrading the Viper and Avital lines since that time,” said Director of Marketing Seth Halstead. “We’re also working on other product categories as we get to leverage their expertise. There’s been a lot of engineering going on in the background,” he said.
The relaunch will include new in-store displays, dealer support programs and a new dealer locator.
The aim, said Halstead, is to return Viper “to its roots of ‘For Installers, By Installers’ with launch of the new product line.”
VOXX purchased Directed in 2020.
